Glen's first rallying experience came from the navigator's seat at age 13, although this was only a taste until he was old enough to drive himself. Many years servicing and the odd autocross (single car dirt circuit racing) kept him occupied before his driving career began.

Starting in late 2003 in the families 1300cc 1976 Toyota Corolla, immediate success was experienced. His first event resulted in him leading a Victorian Club Rally Series event outright until mechanical problems. His 3rd event, resulted in 3rd outright, first novice and in class, behind 2 Australian Rally Championship competitors in their Australian Cars and the precedent was set for an exciting career.

Many more results came, including 2004 Junior Cup Champion and winning 2 wheel-drive at a 2005 state round in front of arguably the fastest 2WD competitor in Australia. At his ARC debut at Rally of Melbourne 2005, Glen made an impressive debut of 13th Outright and 3rd state in his 4WD debut with an old car running pump fuel and a worn out motor from a wreckers.

Moving up to the Australian Rally Championship in 2006, the team gained valuable experience despite the fragility of the 15 year old Subaru Legacy. Despite the car troubles, the team was able to run as high as 6th Outright and set top five times whilst becoming a crowd favourite with Glen's aggressive driving style.
